ACCF-Lunchseminar What to do with Private Equity? Is More Regulation Needed?

01-07-2010

Prof. The Amsterdam Center for Corporate Finance organized on 1 July 2010 the seminar "What to do with Private equity? Is More Regulation Needed?" with invited speaker Ludovic Phalippou.

Prof. Phalippou is associate professor at the University of Amsterdam, with a PhD in Finance from INSEAD. He has published widely in the absolute topjournals in the field (Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Economic Perspectives en Harvard Business Review)  and in the popular press (New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Euromoney, Le Monde, the Financial Times and The Economist).

In his presentation he will examine the attractiveness of private equity as asset class to investors. That is, how well have private equity funds performed for their investors? Moreover, he will deal with some acute public policy issues, including the proposed EU legislation surrounding PE firms.

His work is also scheduled to appear this July in a separate ACCF booklet in the ACCF series “Topics in Corporate Finance”.

The seminar was held at the Bilderberg Garden Hotel (Dijsselhofplantsoen 7, 1077 BJ Amsterdam) scheduled from 12:15 (start seminar 12:30) until 14:15 hours.

Attendance to this ACCF event is only possible by invitation.
